Transportation is getting more costly every day. Gasoline prices are expected to exceed $4/gallon this summer and this will be a burden for many employees - both year-round or seasonal. This burden may also impact their reliability.

The H2-B Visa situation has many employers in a bind for the coming summer. Providing workers a reliable inexpensive way to get to work as a benefit may help attract them to your business and keep them!

Give Them a Ride!
MassRIDES and the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority have a program where you can provide your employees a transit pass and a guaranteed ride home in case of an emergency.

The Deal
  • Become a partner with MassRIDES, by calling 1-(888) 4COMMUTE [1-(888) 426-6688] or contact Catherine.King@eot.state.ma.us. Through this free partnership, your employees who regularly travel to work via public transit, bicycling, carpool or walking will be eligible for the Emergency Ride Home program and other services. Visit www.commute.com for details on the MassRIDES program.
  • Purchase "20-Ride" tickets for your employees from the Cape Cod Regional Transportation Authority. The cost for these benefits is provided at a pre-payroll tax discount. Visit www.capecodtransit.org for details on the 20-Ride passes and other fares.

    How Much $$$
  • 20-Ride tickets are $30.
  • The Emergency Ride Home is free.
  • Keeping good employees is priceless . . .
