The Cape Cod Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), in very simple terms, is a list of transportation system projects to be implemented within federal and state funds available for Cape Cod. Projects may include roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit improvements.
The TIP, developed in accordance with federal laws, includes four years of projects, is financially constrained, and in conformance with air quality plans and programs. For a project to proceed to implementation from the TIP list, proponents must ensure that all designs are completed, and all permits and approvals are in place.
The Cape Cod TIP for Federal Fiscal Years 2007
through 2010,
was originally
endorsed by the
Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) on
August 9, 2006. On April 28, 2008, the MPO voted to release a
Draft TIP Amendment for Federal Fiscal Years 2007 through 2010 for public review; this Draft TIP Amendment is an update to the 2008 TIP year only. The
